Cemetery Mourns Passing of Committee Member

It is with great sadness that the Texas State Cemetery announces the death of Borah Von Dormolen, Texas State Cemetery Committee Member for more than five years. In her time on the Committee, Borah served with a sense of duty and dedication she showed in all facets of her life. She will be greatly missed.

Committee Chairman Scott Sayers said the following:

"It has been my honor to serve with Borah on the Texas State Cemetery Committee for the past six years.  She leaves behind a tremendous legacy through the changes and improvements that were made to the Cemetery during her years of service.   Her wisdom and leadership will be greatly missed and we send our condolences to her family."

Committee Member James L. "Jim" Bayless:

"It was a privilege to serve with Borah on the State Cemetery Committee.  In her many years of dedicated service to the Committee, she could always be counted on to offer frank and wise counsel, as well as common sense, that underscored the dignity of the State Cemetery and respect for the Texas heroes and luminaries who are buried there.  This was typical of her service to Texas and the nation in the many professional and volunteer capacities she served the people over a distinguished life.  Our prayers and condolences go out to her husband Rich Castle and their families."
