Cemetery Book Update

The Texas State Cemetery book has been delivered to those who pre-ordered it through the UT Press website. We received our authors copies of it last week and we think it turned out pretty nice. We will have an event as a part of the Texas Book Festival later in the month out here on Cemetery grounds and the public is welcome to attend for no charge. It is scheduled for Saturday, October 22 at 8 p.m. and will last about 45 minutes or so.

Jason and I will be presented by author Stephen Harrigan, which we both consider to be a great honor, and then we'll have a short presentation, followed by a moonlight tour through Cemetery grounds. The whole event shouldn't last much more than 45 minutes or so. The Cemetery is also hosting a young authors event directly after our presentation at 9 p.m. which the public is also welcome to attend.

Our presentation is only part of the night's Book Festival events. Other events will be happening all over East Austin as part of the Book Festival's Lit Crawl. Even for those people not interested in Texas History or the State Cemetery, there will be plenty of events likely to interest them.

Books can still be ordered through the UT Press website and through other online book retailers or at the Cemetery as a gift for a donation to the Friends of the Texas State Cemetery.
